Entry #10

Avatar: The Last Airbender

Hello my favorite bloggers! Today we will be going a little off topic of the normal type of stuff we would be talking about, but today I wanted to discuss one of my favorite shows growing up when I was a kid. The show is called this, Avatar: The Last Airbender. This show was absolutely fantastic and still is to this day, and here’s why if you have not seen it yet, then maybe you should give it a shot and check it out!

The show Avatar: The Last  Airbender follows Aang, and his quest to master all four elements and bring balance to a world at war. Alongside friends Katara, Sokka, and Toph, Aang confronts the Fire Nation's tyranny while discovering the complexities of bending and the responsibilities that come with being the Avatar. The series explores themes of friendship, identity, and the pursuit of peace. The show has such amazing pacing and the 20 minute episodes with limited time, really do fill out each episode and you never feel like you missed out, since the pacing is so well done.

Also this show has some of the best character development and character conflict I have ever watched in any show. Over watching the series over many years, the parallels between zuko and aang throughout the series are incredibly genius, and while I cannot fully explain as to why this is due to spoilers of the show, just trust that these two characters evolvement thought the series is amazing to watch and see grow in the time you watch.

What are your guys' favorite moments from either Avatar series. My favorite two are when Aang and Zuko meet the firebending masters and when we first learn that Amon can take away

Also if you are on a tight schedule when it comes to show watching, this show is great due to the fact that it has 3 seasons, with only about 20 episodes per season, which in reality is not that crazy of an accomplishment to watch if you really don’t have the time for that many new shows. But overall the lessons I have learned from this show are incredible, with one of the main characters uncle iroh, an ex fire nation general shows so much wisdom that any person can learn from after watching the show. The show is truly amazing with the development and the amazing plot and pacing, this show is truly one of my favorite watches of all time.

Overall, with all this new knowledge of the show Avatar: The Last Airbender, I really believe anyone who is reading this should really check out the show! If you really think you won’t have any interest, just check out the first episode, but be warned, you will get hooked into watching this show cause it is really that amazing. But with that, I hope you all had a fun time listening to me explain one of my favorite shows, and hope all of you have the idea of checking it out! It really is a great show, so I hope you all enjoy it!

Thank you for reading this week's blog !

  1. Hi, Ross -- Your right on the money about Avatar! I grew up with this show as well, and the storyline, animation, humor, themes, really everything is stellar. I was incredibly disappointed with the live-action version that flopped, but I know a new live-action series in the works. I hope they do it justice and to the level of the animated series.
